Master’s Touch Upholstery is an established Santa Rosa upholstery shop, founded in 1985, specializing in furniture reupholstery for homes and businesses throughout the North Bay. Owner Dan Skiles Jr. started upholstering at seventeen and has been at the trade for more than fifty years — decades devoted to understanding furniture construction, fabric, cushioning, and the details that separate thoughtful upholstery work from simple recovering. We work with individual homeowners as well as interior designers and commercial clients, and we have been Diamond Certified since 2016, an independent, third-party measure of our reputation and workmanship.
Master’s Touch Upholstery works to one philosophy: do what the piece actually needs — whether that’s new foam and springs, or a full frame-up rebuild — and finish it to be lived on for another generation.

We focus on solid-frame furniture where a rebuild genuinely outperforms a replacement, and we keep the shop small on purpose, so the person who quotes your project is often the same person who rebuilds it.
How We Work
Stripped · Reinforced · Re-covered
Every piece gets the work it actually needs — sometimes that’s just new foam and a fresh cover; sometimes it’s a full rebuild. When it’s the full treatment, old fabric, foam, and worn webbing come off completely; solid hardwood frames get a light cleanup and any loose joints are glued and clamped back into place. The piece is then re-sprung and refilled with premium foam, and re-covered in designer-grade fabrics with hand-finished seams, ready to be lived on for years.
